Annual scientists’ meetings are traditionally devoted to the actual problems of scientific and methodical support of the educational process and innovative approaches to the organization of physical culture and sports, the development of mass sports, the preservation and strengthening of students’ health.

The conference was held with the support of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of St. Petersburg Government, Scientific and Methodological Council for St. Petersburg University of Students’ Physical Education, in collaboration with the National State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Health named after P.F. Lesgaft.

In 2015 the Organizing Committee received more than 70 reports. More than 60 specialists in the area of physical culture and sport: famous scientists, coaches and sports teachers from all over Russia and CIS countries and also SPbUHSS students took part in the Conference.

The plenary session "Scientific and Methodological Validity of the Universities’ Educational Process on Physical Culture" opened the discussion. Discussion of the alleged problems continued at 3 section sessions:

- «Cultural, Social, Psychological and Philosophical Aspects of Physical Culture».

- «Medical Support of the Universities’ Educational Process, Functional Diagnostics and Monitoring. Preparing for the University Students’ Activities by means of Physical Culture».

- «Innovative Sports, Recreation and Information Technologies in Physical Culture and Sports, Sports Facilities in the Physical Education of University Students, Bioinformatics».

Besides, the participants discussed the problems of the implementation of GTO complex in higher educational institutions, considered fundamental issues of health-saving technologies and modern approaches to the formation of educational and general cultural competence in the development of the discipline "Physical Education".

SPbUHSS Publisher released a Сollection of Сonference materials.
