What is your impression from our University?

Our visit was only several hours but the impressions are great! The University of the Humanities and Social Sciences is obviously very strong university. It is seen all around, starting with the wonderful University’s building and well-organized space inside. I’ve noticed that everything here was made with an attention to quality of education and living, everything is devoted to students and faculty. Effective work of the University administration impresses.

Was something here that surprised you and seemed unusual, noteworthy?

NTNU cooperates with many universities. They are all different: each one has its own culture, character, development strategy. I see clear humanitarian focus, unique culture and, what is important, feel a lot of energy here. It is obvious – you are going to build the best worlds’ University of Humanities.

Are you planning to cooperate with SPbUHSS? If yes, then in what areas?

Yes, we would highly appreciate a cooperating with SPbUHSS. We would start from language education. Our University has a certain reputation in Chinese language teaching. Your University is well-known for its abilities in Russian language teaching for foreigners. We would like to invite your professors to visit our University with lectures on Russian language and culture, to work in Taiwan. We also are ready to suggest you our capacities in teaching your students Chinese language. Our near-term goal is to create an effective system based on our universities of teaching language in Taiwan and in Russia. I hope we will have success in it!
