October 28. Ankara, Turkey. SPbUHSS signed Agreement of Partnership with Ankara University. The document was signed by Prof. Dr. Erkan Ibiş, Rector of Ankara University, and Prof. Dr. Grigorii Birzheniuk, SPbUHSS Rector’s Special Representative.

SPbUHSS implements programs of academic cooperation with many leading Universities of the world. Students of SPbUHSS have an opportunity to train abroad in the best Universities of China, Korea, Germany, USA, Japan, etc. International professors give lectures and master-classes at SPbUHSS, take part in the International Likhachev – the largest Russian annual forum of the Humanities, and other Scientific Conferences.

Ankara University is the oldest university of Turkish Republic. It was founded in 1946 under the personal initiative of the founder and the first President Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Development of the University matched the formation of the modern Turkey. Now Ankara University is the largest center of science and education. The University provides the education through its 15 faculties, 2 vocational schools, 9 colleges and a state conservatory. Today more than 60 000 Bachelor, Master and PhD level students study at Ankara University.

The Agreement of Partnership determines the main areas of the future cooperation of SPbUHSS and Ankara University:

· Support in national and international providing of educational programs and scientific projects;

· Development of academic student mobility for raising the level of education, speaking practice and a cultural horizon;

· Development of academic mobility of faculty, postgraduate students and specialists for the educational and scientific research activity, raising the professional level, experience exchange, working out new educational programs;

· Development and implementation of joint educational programs and Double Degree programs;

· Development and implementation of joint research, applied and commercial projects for the development of the education and science;

· Organization of conferences, seminars and presentations in the framework of joint activity of the Parties, preparing and publishing scientific, informational, advertising and other editions;

· Organization of inter-institutional associations;

· Assistance in development of the common informational environment for participants of the international cooperation.

Universities also plan to develop cooperation by ideas, information, experience exchange, joint seminars, conferences, implementation of joint projects and other forms of cooperation agreed in the field of infrastructure development to support innovation in the field of education and science.
