May, 29. Delegation of the University of Houston (USA) – SPbUHSS partner – arrived to the University.

Professors and students of the University of Houston are in the delegation.

Terms of the visit program:

- acquaintance with SPbUHSS;

- University of Houston Professors and SPbUHSS Professors of the Department of Social Psychology meetings for social and psychological research discussions, exchange of teaching experience, joint grant applications consideration;

- visiting social services of St. Petersburg;

- sightseeing in St. Petersburg also.

SPbUHSS for many years implements programs of academic cooperation with the leading universities of the world. Students of SPbUHSS have an opportunity to train abroad in the best Universities of China, Korea, Germany, USA, Japan, etc. International professors give lectures and master-classes at SPbUHSS, take part in the International Likhachev Conference – the largest Russian annual forum of the Humanities, held in SPbUHSS.

University of Houston is a partner of SPbUHSS since April, 2015. This is one of the most prestigious Universities of USA. It was founded in 1927. University of Houston includes more than 300 departments and 40 scientific centers. More than 40 000 students study in this University.

The agreement provides for cooperation between the two universities in a number of scientific and educational areas, the implementation of joint research projects, organization of conferences, seminars, lectures, preparation and publication of scientific and informational materials.

Trainings for students of SPbUHSS in the University of Houston and students of the University of Houston in St. Petersburg for up to the academic year are also provided in this agreement. It should be noted that under the terms of the agreement SPbUHSS students study at the University of Houston free of tuition fees, which are USD 23.000 per an academic year.

In accordance with the special term of the agreement only the best students of the two universities can participate in the exchange program.
