Material of the lecture, which was held in SPbUHSS on December 11, 2015, is dedicated to the economic and cultural cooperation between Russia and South Korea.

Features of the development of bilateral relations and interaction in APEC frameworks, new policy “The Northern Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative” providing coordination and reconciliation of actions of Asia-Pacific region countries in environment protection, health, use of nuclear energy, energetic security, etc. are considered.

The author pays a special attention to the issues of cultural exchange between Russia and South Korea, development of partnership in education sphere.

The brochure is addressed to professors, graduates, students and a wider audience. The lecture was held in the frameworks of the Diplomatic Program “International Dialogue of Cultures”, implemented by SPbUHSS since 2008 under support of the Ministry of Foreign Affair of Russia.
