Material of the lecture, which was held in SPbUHSS on December 14, 2015, was included to the brochure. It is dedicated to the issues of multiculturalism and international dialogue of cultures in contemporary world. Features of the state political system, social and economic policy of Azerbaijan, religious and ethnic diversity in this country are considered. The author pays special attention to the cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan in various cultural areas.

The brochure is addressed to professors, graduates, students and a wider audience. Polad Bulbul oglu is an old friend of the University, participated in the International Likhachev Scientific Conference – The world’s largest scientific humanitarian forum held in SPbUHSS.

The lecture was held in the frameworks of the Diplomatic Program “International Dialogue of Cultures”, implemented by SPbUHSS since 2008 under support of the Ministry of Foreign Affair of Russia.
