XVI International Likhachev Scientific Conference, the world largest annual forum of the humanitarian knowledge, was held at St. Petersburg University of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The subject of this year Conference is “Contemporary Global Challenges and National Interests”.

More than 160 reports of the distinguished scientists, state and public figures from 28 countries from Canada and USA to India and China were presented this year, more than 1500 people participated.

“Even a simple enumeration of all the big names of those, who attended the Conference, is difficult – these are eminent academicians, deputies, public figures, heads of companies and associations. I want to notice that the famous Russian writer Daniil Granin also honored the forum his participation. We’ll try to acquaint the audience with the several most interesting presentations, which are topical for us also.”
