More than one hundred children study in the dance theatre. Each age group of young dancers gets an appropriate program of training. The youngest pupils under 3 years-old train rhythmic plastic, acrobatics and children’s ballroom dancing. Children under 7 years-old study acting and learn the origins of the folk scenic dance and classic dance. The senior pupils (10-17 years-old) get the unique program of esthetic development except dance trainings: study the world ballet, the work of outstanding choreographers and performers; meet masters of art, watch their spectacles and concerts. So they get a serious professional choreographic education.

The Dance Theatre is a regular participant of the City’s events and celebrations, all-Russians and international festivals and contests. Young dancers successfully perform in Russia and abroad. Charity concerts given for veterans, children with disabilities and orphans are very important for young actors. Many graduates of the Center of Aesthetic Education continue professional studying on the Arts Faculty of SPbUHS.
