May, 22nd. A film by SPbUHSS graduate, associated professor of the Directing Multimedia Department E. Chichkanov “Job Duties” was included in the program Short Film Corner of the Cann Film Festival.

68th Cann Film Festival is held May, 13-25, 2015. American film directors head the jury. There are not Russian films this time in the main contest. The work of the SPbUHSS graduate and lecturer is the only one short movie in non-competitive program of the festival. This film may not participate in the contest only because it was already shown at the largest Asian film festival AISFF in South Korea.

Egor Sergeevich Chichkanov is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts 2007, candidate of arts and lecturer of the Directing Multimedia Department. He gives lectures, trainings and master-classes in SPbUHSS of such courses as “Multimedia Programs Directing”, “Computer Graphics and Animation”, Presentative programs and multimedia Advertising creation and development”. He has 20 publications, 2 of them methodological and 18 scientific researches that are used in educational practice. Fields of E. Chichkanov’s scientific interests are musical pedagogy applied to preparation of multimedia directors and interactive screen art. In 2012 he was awarded the Diploma for the active participation in the contest of pedagogical mastership and the Diploma of the winner of contest “For the best scientific work among young teachers”.

E. Chichkanov directs artistic short films and clips for Russian musicians. There are his works such as: musical video for Zorge musical group (a project of Eugene Fedorov, leader of the popular St-Petersburg musical group Tequilajazzz); a video clip for the song “Stakan moloka” of the musical group SNEGA won the top prize in the category “Musical video” at the festival “METRY” in Tver, the top prize in the category “Video Sketch” at the festival Tvoti-gora in Krasnoyarsk. This work became a finalist of 10th International Audiovisual festival Black&White in Porto (Portugal). One of his latest works is short children’s film “Are you coming or not?” made last summer in Samara.
