October, 21. Associated Professor Konstantin Bronzit, SPbUHSS was awarded the prize "Centaur" for the best animation film at the XXV International Film Festival "Message to Man".

The award was given for the animation film "We can’t live without space." This film of SPbUHSS’s professor was earlier recognized as the best short film at Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
International prizes laureate, a member of the “National Center of Cinematography and the moving image”, a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences “Oskar”, stage director, writer, painter Konstantin Bronzit works at SPbUHSS since 2003. He teaches students of the Faculty of Arts an author's course “Computer graphics and animation”, supervises diplomas and research papers for the students of the department of Directing Multimedia. He has 8 publications, including one educational-methodical, 7 scientific papers, which are used in his work.

Konstantin Bronzit graduated from the Leningrad Art School named after Johansson at the Repin State Academic Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1983. He worked as an animator at the animation shop of “Lennauchfilm” studio, where he made his first cartoon - "Carousel" (collection "Very small tragedies", 1988). In 1993-1995 he studied and worked as a screenwriter, stage director and animator at the studio "Pilot". Alexander Tatarsky, a famous Russian stage director, painter, producer called Konstantin Bronzit his best student. In 1995 he graduated from the department of Animation Film Directing of Higher Directing Courses at All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (Fedor Khitruk’s workshop). In 1996-1999 he worked at St. Petersburg studio "Positive TV", directed a number of TV commercials and station breaks. In 1998 Konstantin Bronzit lived and worked in France ("Folimage" studio, cartoon "On the edge of the earth"). Since 1999 he works at the studio of animation films "Melnitsa" (St. Petersburg). He participated in full-length animation projects "Adventures in the Emerald City" and "The Dwarf Nose" as a chief consultant and art director. In 2004 he directed the animation film “Alyosha Popovich and Tugarin Serpent”, where also voiced one of the main characters - Tugarin. His cartoon “Lavatory-Lovestory” was nominated for "Oscar" in 2009.
