November 27. Film by Konstantin Bronzit, SPbUHSS Associate Professor, is included to the Oscar’s short-list.

Animation film “We Can’t Live without Space” by Konstantin Bronzit, SPbUHSS Ass. Professor of the Department of Directing Multimedia, is included to the short-list of the Oscar, Award of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in the category “Best Animated Short Film”. There were totally 60 films submitted to the contest.

Konstantin Bronzit has been working in SPbUHSS since 2003. He gives to the students of the Faculty of Arts an author’s course “Computer Graphics and Animation”, supervises diplomas and research papers for the students of the Department of Directing Multimedia. He has 8 publications.

The animated film “We Can’t Live without Space” tells about two friends who had a dream from the childhood to fly into the space and have realized their cherished dream. The film has already received several awards, Annecy International Animation Film Festival, France is among them. Konstantin Bronzit was awarded an international prize for the script and directing. January 14 the American Film Academy will announce 5 nominees of the Oscar in this category. The awards ceremony will be held on February 28, 2016 in Los Angeles. We remind that the animated film “Lavatory-Lovestory” by Konstantin Bronzit has been already nominated to the same category of the Oscar 2009.
