Department of the English Language
The Department graduates specialists in three licensed specialties:
- Translating and interpreting.
- Theory and methods in teaching of foreign languages and cultures.
- Theory and practice of the cross-cultural communication.
The Department teaches English as a compulsory course for students of all the specialties and forms of study and also for the University entrants in the program of the preliminary courses, provides teaching of all courses in English.
Since 2000 the Department has been graduating students in the optional specialty “Interpreter in the sphere of professional communication”.
The Department has in its disposal language laboratories with the best modern computer and multimedia instrumentation that provides for students learning languages both with a teacher and by themselves.
